Ah, the Bouquet... That little card which, as soon as it appears in a drawing, seems to bring with it a perfume of sweetness, a breeze of lightness, an exquisite fragrance and that playful question: "What if everything were simpler, more beautiful, brighter than we think?"
As we've already seen in our previous episodes in the world of Petit Lenormand, each card is a door ajar to a mystery, an invitation to decipher the messages that life whispers to us between the lines 🤓. And the Bouquet, with its delicate petals and vibrant colors, is one of the most bewitching. It doesn't just decorate the draw: it illuminates it, perfumes it.
Before plunging into the depths of its symbolism, let's begin by observing the Bouquet in its various guises. Yes, depending on the game, the era or the artist, this card can take on many guises, while keeping its essence intact.

For example, in the traditional Petit Lenormand versions, the Bouquet is often represented by a generous floral arrangement. Illustrations vary from game to game: some cards show a richly colored bouquet, mixing roses, poppies and daisies, while older versions adopt a more sober or stylized style, like these versions where the Bouquet is surrounded by characters or motifs reminiscent of traditional playing cards. Every detail, from petals to ribbons, seems to tell a story of joy, celebration and promise.
In the modern or artistic versions, some games dare more daring interpretations: a bouquet floating in the air, as if carried by a magical breeze, a stylized, almost abstract floral arrangement where the petals form geometric patterns - it's very relaxing, great for concentration. Other, more minimalist versions reduce the Bouquet to a few clean lines, leaving the reader's imagination free to run wild. That's fine too, and doesn't detract from the original meaning of the card 🙂.
The Bouquet is so appealing because it embodies what the human soul instinctively seeks: beauty, joy and that little spark that makes life sweeter. Yet its symbolism is far richer than it seems.
Above all, the Bouquet is an ode to life. It represents those moments when everything seems to align: a simple happiness, an unexpected success, an encounter that makes the heart beat a little faster. It's the card for birthdays, weddings and anniversaries, but also for the small victories of everyday life. It's a reminder that life, even in its most modest details, deserves to be celebrated.
A bouquet, by definition, is a gift. It therefore symbolizes generosity, sharing and that abundance which is not measured in material goods, but in emotions, bonds and precious moments. Pulling the bouquet is often the sign of a period of grace: opportunities present themselves, doors open and the heart becomes lighter.
But beware: flowers, however beautiful, are ephemeral. The Bouquet carries with it this subtle wisdom: "Enjoy the moment, for beauty is fleeting." It invites us to savor the present, not to put off until tomorrow the joys we can experience today. It's a card that whispers: "Look around you, there are so many wonders to appreciate."
